Upon moving to Canada I have realized that there are two sports in which most Canadians love, Hockey and Soccer. Around a month ago, I noticed that people started sporting flags from different countries on their cars and I could not for the life of me figure out what everyone was so excited about. That is, until I found out about the World Cup.

I guess when I lived in Utah I never realized there was a World Cup in which teams from countries all over the world compete for the ultimate trophy in soccer. I cannot believe the pride that Canadians show for their home country.

I was taking a nap when the game was over and even 29 stories up, I could hear people scream and honking their horns. I looked down and flags everywhere and people were driving up and down the street yelling!

But the best show of enthusiasm that I saw was this. After church John and I drove to our storage unit to get something and on the freeway there was a car broken down. The family was taking advantage, before the tow truck came, by waving the Italian flag and screaming, "Go Italy." What pride!
